Employee Engagement Framework: A Triple Bottom Line Approach (2014-2015)
Project Details
Employee Engagement Framework for CSR Integration is a comprehensive tool that helps HR professionals to develop a new curriculum of Employee Engagement curriculum that positively impact people, planet and business profits. I developed this framework along with five colleagues. We set out the research question: based on existing best practices, how can we design a framework that integrates CSR initiatives to improve employee engagement in the 21st century?
We had done research to understand the drivers and barriers of employee engagement by reviewing published literature, analyzing expert interviews from primary sources, examining current employee engagement frameworks, and evaluating the effectiveness of such approaches in the changing landscape of 21st century workforce. As a result, Corporate social responsibility (CSR) was identified as a crucial component to the development and implementation of a strategic employee engagement.
The framework design criteria — user friendly, visual impact and easily understood — was set, designed, prototyped and then reviewed by interviewees. The final deliverable was a five-phase framework for HR Professionals and business leaders.
